This precision unit keeps the clutch pedal light and gear changes clean. It pushes on the pressure plate each time you press the pedal, so the engine and gearbox separate without grind. Ideal for restoring factory shift feel in robust 4x4s.
Why you need it
With mileage, the original bearing dries, gets rough, or loosens. Replacing it prevents chatter, pedal vibration, and hard engagement. It also protects the pressure plate, disc, and gearbox input shaft from costly damage.
How it works
The fork moves the unit along the guide collar toward the diaphragm spring. The sealed race spins with the clutch while the body stays with the fork. Low-friction faces transfer force smoothly, reducing heat and wear. Also known as a throwout bearing.
If it fails ⚠️
Expect squeal when pressing the pedal, jerky starts, short clutch life, and possible seizure that can crack the fork or overheat the cover. In severe cases, you lose disengagement and get stuck in gear.

- Lightly grease the guide tube; keep the contact face dry.
