Transmission Oil Pan for Subaru Performance Platforms ️

This Subaru transmission oil pan is the base of the automatic gearbox sump. It keeps ATF sealed, directs fluid to the pickup, and aids cooling. Built to OEM geometry, it supports correct fluid level during fast shifts and daily driving. A clean, tight pan means stable hydraulic pressure, smooth gear changes, and long clutch and valve body life.

Why you need it ✅

It seals the case, stores ATF, and houses the magnet and filter interface. Without a solid pan and fresh gasket, the system cannot maintain pressure, leading to shift flare and heat buildup.

How it works

The pan bolts to the transmission case, forming the sump. Baffles calm fluid, the magnet traps fine metal, and the drain allows service. The pump draws ATF from here, sending it to the valve body and cooler, then returns it to the pan.

If it’s damaged or leaking ⚠️

Signs include ATF drips, burnt smell, vibration, delayed engagement, harsh or erratic shifts, and rising temps. Continued driving can glaze clutches, contaminate solenoids, and cause costly rebuilds.

Tech notes

Replace gasket/O-ring, clean surfaces, torque evenly, fit a new filter if applicable, refill with the correct Subaru-spec ATF, and check level at the proper temperature.
