Automatic Transmission Oil Pan 🛠️

This OEM-fit ATF pan seals the bottom of the gearbox, holds fluid capacity, and supports the filter. Its deep sump design aids cooling, a drain plug simplifies service, and an internal magnet 🧲 traps metal dust. Built from corrosion‑resistant steel with a reinforced flange for reliable sealing.

Why you need it

Fresh, leak‑free ATF is critical for smooth shifts and clutch life. A straight, clean pan keeps the gasket seated, stops drips on the driveway, speeds fluid changes, and protects the pickup from aeration during hard turns and braking.

How it works

The pan bolts to the case with a gasket/RTV to create a pressure‑tight sump. The pump circulates ATF through the valve body and cooler; returning fluid collects in the pan, shedding heat 🌡️. Baffles reduce slosh, the magnet captures wear particles, and the drain plug 💧 allows controlled servicing.

What happens if broken

Dents can pinch the filter and starve the pump, causing flare, slip, or shudder. A warped lip or rusty pinholes lead to leaks, low fluid, overheating, and burned clutches ⚠️. Stripped drain threads or a torn gasket make chronic seepage. Replace the pan, use a new gasket/crush washer, and torque bolts evenly in a cross pattern; refill with the correct ATF and level at the specified temperature.
