Clutch Release Fork for Subaru Manual Gearboxes βš™οΈ

Smooth gear changes start here. This precision release lever sits in the bellhousing and links the pedal/hydraulics to the throwout bearing. Built to OE geometry for Subaru manuals, it restores clean, quiet clutch action and consistent pedal feel.

Why this part is needed

With mileage, the fork’s contact pads and pivot pocket wear. That steals travel, adds noise, and stresses the bearing and pressure plate. Replacing the fork brings back full release, protects the clutch set, and improves shift quality.

How it works

Press the pedal and the slave cylinder or cable pushes the lever. The fork pivots on a ball stud and drives the release bearing into the diaphragm spring, separating engine from gearbox so you can shift. Heat-treated steel and exact angles keep alignment true under load.

What happens if it’s broken ❗

Cracked or bent ears, worn faces, or a dry pivot cause hard shifting, grinding, chatter, or no disengagement. Pedal may feel heavy or drop. Driving like this can burn the disc, warp the pressure plate, damage the slave, and leave you stranded. During install, lightly grease the pivot and bearing tabs; check boot, clip, and bearing.
