OEM Clutch Pressure Cover for Subaru Manual Transmission

Keep your Subaru shifting crisp and transmitting power reliably. This clutch pressure cover (pressure plate assembly) clamps the clutch disc to the flywheel with a strong diaphragm spring, giving stable torque transfer, clean take-off, and smooth gear changes even under heat and load.

Why you need it

Without a healthy pressure cover, the disc can slip, glaze, or chatter. Proper clamping force protects the flywheel, prevents lost acceleration, and keeps engagement consistent in city traffic and on spirited drives.

How it works

A heat‑treated steel cover houses a diaphragm spring and drive straps. When you press the pedal, the release bearing relaxes the spring, freeing the disc. Release the pedal and the spring clamps the disc against the flywheel, passing engine torque to the gearbox.

When it fails ⚠️

Expect slip under load, burning smell, judder on take‑off, hard shifting, pedal pulse, or no drive. Prolonged use may score the flywheel and overheat the disc.

Tech notes

Precision balanced for low vibration; OE bolt pattern. Always renew disc and release bearing together, clean mating surfaces, and torque bolts in a star sequence. Bed-in gently for 300–500 km.
