Heavy‑Duty Clutch Friction Disc for Nissan Manual Transmission

This OEM‑grade clutch friction plate restores crisp, slip‑free power transfer between the engine flywheel and the gearbox input shaft. Built for tough bus and 4x4 duty, it uses heat‑resistant facings, robust torsion springs, and a precisely machined spline hub for smooth engagement and long life. Ideal as a direct replacement when your original unit is worn or contaminated.

Why this part is needed

Over time the lining thins, hardens, or gets oil‑soaked, causing slip, shudder, and a burning smell. Fatigued damper springs add vibration, while uneven wear makes take‑offs jerky. Replacing the disc brings back consistent clutch bite and protects the rest of the driveline.

How it works ⚙️

The plate sits between flywheel and pressure cover. Pedal up: clamping force squeezes the facings, locking the hub to the flywheel so torque flows into the transmission. Pedal down: pressure releases, letting gears change. Torsion springs absorb shock, reducing chatter and gearbox rattle.

What happens if it’s broken

Expect high revs with poor acceleration, judder on hill starts, harsh shifts, and metallic rattle if springs crack. Prolonged slip overheats surfaces, warps the flywheel, scorches the pressure plate, and may chew the input splines—multiplying repair costs.

Pro install tips

Inspect/resurface flywheel, renew pressure cover and release bearing together, degrease contact faces, align with a pilot tool, and torque in a star pattern. Bed in gently for 300–500 km.
