    Clutch Disc Assembly for Subaru Manual Gearbox

    This clutch disc is the core link between the engine and the transmission. You need it to transfer power smoothly, let the car start moving without jerks, and allow clean gear changes. When you press the clutch pedal, this disc separates from the flywheel and pressure plate, stopping torque flow so the gears can engage without grinding.

    How It Works

    The disc carries friction linings and a sprung hub. When clamped, the linings grip the flywheel to drive the input shaft. The hub springs absorb shock, reducing drivetrain vibration and protecting gears during take-off and shifting.

    Signs It’s Worn or Broken ⚠️

    If the lining is thin, glazed, or oil-soaked, the clutch will slip under load. A damaged hub or weakened springs can cause chatter, knocking noises, harsh engagement, or difficulty selecting gears. Ignoring it may overheat the flywheel/pressure plate and leave you stranded with no drive.
