Vacuum Pump Assembly for Toyota Engines
This OE-grade vacuum unit keeps steady negative pressure for brake assist and engine controls on many Toyota models. When engine vacuum is low, this pump feeds the brake booster, EGR and turbo actuators, ensuring strong pedal feel and smooth drivability .
Why you need it
Modern engines, especially with low idle vacuum or turbocharging, rely on a dedicated pump. It guarantees consistent vacuum for safe braking, stable idle, and proper valve/actuator operation. It also prevents stalling during hot or high-altitude conditions.
How it works
A rotor-and-vane core, driven by the camshaft or timing gear, sweeps air from the housing to create negative pressure. Internal oil passages lubricate the vanes. A check valve holds vacuum in the booster even when RPM drops. Seals and an O-ring keep oil in and air out ✅.
What happens if it fails ⚠️
