This protective cover shields the transmission oil filter and pump inlet, keeping ATF clean, pressure steady, and shift quality smooth. Built to factory dimensions, it seals the passages so the unit breathes only through the filter—no bypass, no cavitation.
Why this part is needed ️
The cover locks the filter in place inside the case or valve body area. A precise seal prevents internal leaks, protects clutches and solenoids, and supports reliable cold and hot starts. It’s essential during service after fluid and filter changes.
How it works
A molded housing with O‑ring grooves clamps over the filter. When torqued, it seals intake ports so the pump draws ATF only through the media. Correct sealing delivers stable line pressure, crisp shifts, and lower operating temps.
If the cover is damaged or cracked
You may see delayed drive or reverse engagement, flare between gears, shudder, overheating, whine, ATF aeration, metal debris, limp mode, and early pump or clutch failure. Any warping or leak warrants immediate replacement.
