How it works
A 12V sealed electric motor spins an internal impeller, pulling fluid from the reservoir and pushing it through hoses to the spray nozzles. Many systems use polarity reversal to switch flow between front and rear jets. A rubber grommet seals the body to the tank, and a quick connector delivers power.
What happens if it’s faulty ⚠️
No spray or a weak jet, pump whine with no flow, or leaks near the tank are common signs. Driving with grime on the glass reduces visibility, can damage wiper blades, trigger streaks, and may cause inspection failure. Running dry overheats the motor; debris can jam the impeller.
