Outer CV Joint Boot for Subaru (EBJ-type) 🔧

Why this part is needed

This driveshaft boot seals the outer constant velocity joint on the front axle. It keeps high‑moly grease in and dust, water, and road salt out. That protection is vital for smooth steering angles, quiet running, and long CV joint life. A fresh, tight boot prevents costly axle replacement and keeps your Subaru driving clean and tight. 🛡️

How it works

The flexible bellows flexes with suspension travel and steering lock while maintaining a constant seal. Two stainless clamps lock the boot to the joint housing and the shaft. Heat‑resistant elastomer and internal ribs manage grease flow so the balls and races stay lubricated under load. Simple, effective, and durable. ⚙️

What happens if it’s broken

When the boot cracks or splits, grease gets slung onto the wheel and brakes, and water/grit enter the joint. Expect clicking on turns, vibration on acceleration, ABS dust issues, and rapid CV wear. Ignored, the joint can seize or fail, risking loss of drive and a much bigger repair bill. ❗

Install notes

Clean the joint thoroughly, repack with the supplied CV grease, seat the boot without twists, and crimp clamps fully. After a short drive, recheck for seepage. Done right, this boot restores factory sealing and quiet performance. 🚗
