Why this part is needed

This panel filter stops dust, sand, and pollen before they reach the intake manifold. It protects piston rings, cylinder walls, and the MAF sensor, keeps fuel economy stable, and preserves quiet, smooth acceleration. A fresh element also reduces intake noise and helps maintain correct emissions.

How it works

Outside air is pulled through fine pleated media made of cellulose/synthetic fibers. The pleats increase surface area, catching particles down to micro size while letting the engine breathe freely. A rigid frame and a heat-resistant sealing gasket ensure a tight fit in the airbox, preventing bypass leaks and keeping sensor readings accurate.

What happens if it’s bad or broken

Clogging causes weak throttle response, higher fuel use, rough idle, and possible check engine lights (airflow plausibility errors). A torn seal or media lets dust in, leading to cylinder scoring, noisy intake, MAF contamination, and early wear of valves and bearings.

Service tips ✅
