Evaporator Temperature Sensor Assembly ❄️
This small sensor is a big deal for your Nissan HVAC system. It is needed to watch the evaporator core temperature inside the A/C box, so the system can keep cabin air cold and comfortable without freezing the core. When the temperature drops too low, the sensor signal helps the control unit adjust compressor operation to prevent ice buildup and keep airflow strong.
How it works
The sensor reads evaporator temperature (thermistor-type behavior) and sends a changing voltage/resistance signal to the HVAC control. The module uses that data to cycle the compressor and balance cooling performance with humidity control.
