Outside Temperature Sensor for Accurate Climate Control ❄️

Keep your Nissan’s auto A/C honest with this ambient temperature sensor assembly. It feeds real-time outside air data to the HVAC controller so auto mode can balance blower speed, blend doors, and compressor duty. Result: stable cabin comfort, quicker defogging, and a correct outside temp on the display.

Why you need it

Auto climate relies on outside air readings to plan cooling and heating. A precise sensor prevents overcooling on cool mornings, stops weak A/C on hot days, and helps the system choose fresh vs recirculated air. It also supports smart defrost and better overall A/C efficiency.

How it works

Inside is a fast-response NTC thermistor. As air warms, resistance drops; the HVAC module sends a reference voltage and converts the return signal into degrees. Mounted ahead of the radiator or behind the grille, it samples free-flowing air. An OE-style connector and weather-sealed body keep the signal clean and stable.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Common signs: dash reads -40° or 140°, auto mode hunts or won’t stabilize, compressor cycles oddly, and recirculation logic misbehaves. Defogging slows, comfort suffers, and you may need constant manual adjustments. In some cases, the system disables automatic regulation until the sensor is replaced.

Fit, build, and install ✅

Direct plug-and-play for the factory harness; clips near the bumper/grille. Corrosion-resistant terminals, sealed housing, and stable calibration ensure long life. Install in minutes—mount away from hot components and avoid touching the sensing tip. A short drive allows the reading to normalize.
