This protective housing fits over the moisture sensor behind the interior mirror. It shields the unit from stray light and dust, holds it firmly on the bracket, and keeps the gel pad pressed evenly to the glass. You need it to keep automatic wipers responsive, reduce false wipes, and preserve a clean OEM look inside the cabin .
How it works
The infrared sensor shoots light into the windshield; when water hits the glass, reflections change. The cover creates a dark, stable chamber so the sensor reads correctly. It also guides wiring and blocks heat and UV that can age the gel pad.
