Front Right Brake Dust Shield for Subaru 🛡️
This front-right brake disc cover guards the rotor and caliper from gravel, salt, mud, and splash. It keeps the braking surface cleaner, reduces corrosion, and helps airflow cool the disc for consistent stopping power 🚗.
Why it’s needed
Without a shield, debris blasts the rotor, causing scoring and uneven pad wear. Road spray builds rust on the hat and vents, and heat soak can climb in stop‑go traffic or towing.
How it works
Mounted to the steering knuckle behind the rotor, the curved plate deflects water and grit, channeling air toward the disc. The formed lip shields the inner face, while cutouts allow drainage and cooling.
If the cover is broken
Expect scraping noises, trapped stones, faster rotor rust, hot spots, and premature pad wear. ABS rings and sensors may get contaminated, leading to warning lights. Prolonged use can mean brake pulsation and higher stopping distances.
