Precision Brake Bleed Screw for Subaru Calipers 🔧

This small but vital valve controls air removal from the brake hydraulic system. During service, a technician opens the bleed passage to push out air and old fluid; when closed, its tapered seat seals pressure so the pedal stays firm. The precisely cut threads and corrosion‑resistant finish ensure smooth operation and tight sealing for consistent, safe braking 🚗.

Why this part is needed

Air in brake lines compresses, causing a soft pedal and longer stopping distance. A quality bleeder nipple lets you refresh fluid and purge bubbles fast, restoring pedal feel, protecting calipers, hoses, and ABS components.

How it works

Crack the valve a quarter turn while applying pedal or vacuum. Fluid and air travel through the internal channel, then you close it to lock in hydraulic pressure. A dust cap keeps dirt and moisture out between services.

What happens if it’s damaged ❗

Seized or rounded hex: you cannot bleed the brakes. Stripped threads or a pitted cone seat: fluid leaks, spongy pedal, uneven pad wear, and potential caliper replacement. Ignoring it risks overheating brakes and ABS pump strain.

Tech tips

Use penetrating oil on seized parts, apply a light high‑temp brake lubricant to threads (not the seat), tighten to spec, and always refit the cap.
