This coolant inlet assembly guides coolant from the radiator hose into the thermostat area and engine block. It seals the circuit, holds pressure, and keeps the motor at the right temperature ️. How it works

The housing/neck bolts to the thermostat side of the engine. Coolant flows through its passages to the pump and block. Molded surfaces and an O-ring/gasket ensure a tight joint, while hose barbs and clamps lock the lower hose. Together with the thermostat and pump, it maintains steady flow and operating temp, improving fuel economy and cabin heat.

Why replacement is needed ️

Heat cycles and corrosion can crack the neck, warp flanges, or crush the sealing lip. Plastic ages; metal pits. If you see pink/green crust, a sweet smell, low coolant, or damp areas under the front, the inlet may be failing.
