? Turn Indicator Switch for Nissan Steering Column

This steering column indicator switch is a small but very important control part for safe road driving. It lets the driver operate the left and right turn signals, and on many vehicles it also helps control the headlamp dip or lane-change signal function. A good switch gives a clear click feel and sends the correct electrical command every time.

? Why This Part Is Needed

The turn signal control tells other drivers where your vehicle is going. Without a reliable signal switch, lane changes, cornering, parking, and overtaking become unsafe. It is also required for road inspection in many countries, because proper indicator operation is part of basic vehicle safety.

βš™οΈ How It Works

When the stalk is moved up or down, internal copper contacts close the circuit for the left or right indicator lamps. The flasher relay then makes the bulbs blink. After the steering wheel returns from a turn, the cancel mechanism normally brings the lever back to the center position.

⚠️ Signs of a Broken Switch

  • Indicators work only on one side
  • Signal lamps do not blink or stay on
  • Lever feels loose, jammed, or does not cancel
  • Intermittent flashing when touching the stalk
  • Burning smell or poor contact inside the column
