Engine Cooling Thermostat Assembly for Hyundai & Kia

This thermostat unit keeps your engine at the right working temperature. It helps the motor warm up fast, then holds a steady range for power, low emissions, and long life. Built to OEM specs, it seals tight in the housing and resists scale, corrosion, and heat shock. Perfect fit means no guesswork and stable cooling every day.

Why this part is needed ❄️

Cold engines waste fuel and wear faster. Hot engines overheat and can blow gaskets. This part opens and closes the coolant path based on temperature, so your cabin heats sooner, your oil flows right, and your engine stays safe in traffic or on the highway.

How it works

Inside is a wax pellet and spring. As coolant warms, the wax expands and pushes the valve open, sending coolant to the radiator. When coolant cools, the wax shrinks and the valve closes, keeping heat in the block. The cycle repeats for stable temperature control.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Stuck closed: overheating, boiling coolant, warped head, or blown head gasket. Stuck open: slow warm-up, weak heater, poor MPG, rich running, possible check engine light (like P0128). Leaks around the gasket may cause low coolant and hot spots.

Tech tips

Replace coolant, bleed air, use new seal, and torque housing bolts evenly. Check hoses and radiator cap at the same time.
