How it works ️
After the thermostat opens, the water pump pushes hot coolant through this top line into the radiator. Airflow and the fan drop the temperature, and cooled fluid returns via the lower hose. Correct inner diameter and formed ends ensure tight, leak-free clamp joints across heat cycles.
What happens if it’s damaged ❗
Leaks lower coolant level, causing hot spikes, weak cabin heat, steam, and a sweet odor. Bulges or soft walls can collapse, restricting flow. Continued driving risks warped head, blown gasket, and roadside breakdown. Replace at the first signs to avoid major repair.
