Countershaft Bearing for Manual Gearbox ⚙️

Keep your stick-shift running silky and strong. This OE-grade countershaft bearing supports the secondary shaft inside the manual transmission, holding gears in precise alignment under load. Built for heavy torque and long highway miles, it restores smooth rotation, quiet operation, and clean shifts .

Why you need it ✅

Without a healthy bearing, the countershaft can wobble. That misalignment chews gear teeth, heats the oil, and turns a crisp shift into a grind. Replacing it protects the whole gearbox and extends clutch and synchronizer life.

How it works

Hardened races and rolling elements carry radial and axial loads from the meshing gears. The bearing centers the shaft so gears mesh at the correct angle, minimizing friction and noise while the lube film keeps metal apart.

What happens if it’s broken ❗

Tell-tales include whining in 3rd/4th, vibration under throttle, metallic glitter in oil, hard shifting, and gear pop-out. Ignored, it can pit races, overheat, damage synchros, and crack gear teeth—leading to a full rebuild.

Tech tips

Always inspect companion bearings, replace seals, flush debris, and set endplay to spec. Use the correct GL-4 oil to protect synchros.
