Why this part is needed

This cap seals the cooling system and holds the correct pressure so the coolant boils at a higher temperature. It routes expanding coolant to the overflow tank and pulls it back as the engine cools. How it works

Inside is a calibrated spring and two valves. The pressure valve opens at a set point, sending excess coolant to the reservoir. When the engine cools, the vacuum valve opens to draw coolant back, keeping the system full and air-free. Heat‑resistant seals and a corrosion‑proof spring ensure consistent clamping and leak-free operation.

If the cap is faulty
