Manual Transmission 3rd/4th Synchronizer Hub ⚙️
This OE-style sync hub restores clean shifts between 3rd and 4th in your manual gearbox. It sits on the main shaft, supports the sleeve, and provides precise spline and dog teeth engagement. With tight machining and hardened steel, it keeps gear selection accurate and reduces wear.
Why you need it
Worn hubs cause sloppy sleeve travel and poor synchronization. Replacing it brings back crisp, quiet shifts, protects gears and rings, and extends gearbox life.
How it works
When you move the shifter, the fork slides the sleeve over this hub. Synchro rings match speeds; then the sleeve’s teeth lock the chosen gear to the shaft. The hub guides the sleeve and transmits torque without play.
If it’s damaged ❌
Expect hard or crunchy 3rd/4th, grinding on upshift/downshift, pop-out under load, metallic noise, shavings in oil, and faster wear of rings, sleeve, and gears. Replace as a set with rings/sleeve when possible. Use GL-4 oil and check fork/bearings.
