Fuel Level Sender for Nissan Vehicles ⛽

This in‑tank level sensor tells your dashboard how much fuel is in the tank. Built to OEM spec for Nissan pickups and SUVs, it gives stable readings, helps the engine computer estimate range, and protects the pump by discouraging dry running. It is a direct-fit replacement for worn or erratic units and restores accurate gauge behavior.

Why this part is needed

- Keeps the fuel gauge honest, so you plan refuels safely.
- Supports correct EVAP diagnostics and trip computations.
- Prevents surprise stalls from misreading an empty tank.

How it works ?️

Inside the tank, a float rides on the fuel surface. The float moves a lever across a rheostat (variable resistor). That changes electrical resistance, and the cluster/ECU converts it to a gauge position and range estimate. The assembly includes a harness connector and sealing ring to keep vapors in and dirt out for long, quiet service.

What happens when it breaks ⚠️

- Gauge stuck on Full/Empty, or jumps around.
- “Distance to empty” nonsense; unexpected engine cut-out when tank is actually dry.
- Possible EVAP codes like P0461–P0463; inspection fails in some regions.
- Running the pump dry can overheat it and shorten pump life.

Tech tips for replacement ?

Work with low fuel, relieve tank pressure, and replace the O‑ring. Do not use sealant on the lock ring. After install, fill to 1/2–3/4 and verify gauge sweep. Keep at least 1/4 tank to cool the pump and extend sender life.
