VVT Oil Control Solenoid for Hyundai/Kia Engines ️

Keep your cam timing precise with this OEM-grade oil control valve. It manages oil flow to the cam phaser, so your engine breathes right, saves fuel, and keeps emissions low.

Why you need it

Modern engines use variable valve timing to adapt power and economy. A healthy solenoid means smooth idle, strong mid‑range torque, better MPG, and clean exhaust βœ….

How it works

The ECU sends a pulse signal to the coil. The plunger opens and closes micro oil passages, feeding the cam phaser with exact pressure. That advances or retards the cam in milliseconds, matching load, RPM, and temperature β›½.

When it fails

Expect rough idle, flat acceleration, higher fuel use, rattle on start, and a Check Engine light (often VVT codes). Stuck or weak valves starve the phaser, locking timing and risking chain noise and excess emissions ⚠️. Dirt, old oil, or a burnt coil are common causes.

Tech tips

Use the correct oil grade, change filters on time, and avoid sludge. Install on a clean head, lightly oil the O‑ring, seat the filter screen, plug in firmly, and clear codes after fitment.
