Camshaft Position Sensor for Mitsubishi Engines
This precision cam timing sensor keeps your Mitsubishi’s ECU in sync with the cam’s exact position. It delivers clean phase data so ignition and fuel injection happen at the right millisecond, giving smooth starts, strong torque, and clean emissions .
Why you need it
The ECU must know which stroke each cylinder is on. This sensor provides that reference for sequential injection, spark timing, and variable valve timing. A healthy unit means quick cold starts, stable idle, and optimal fuel economy.
How it works
A Hall-effect/magnetic pickup reads a toothed target on the camshaft and outputs a square-wave signal. The ECU counts edges each revolution to identify cylinder #1 and synchronize timing maps. Shielded wiring ensures noise-free 5V logic.
If it’s failing ⚠️
- Long crank, hard/no start when hot
- Rough idle, hesitation, misfire, stalling
- Check Engine Light with codes like P0340/P0341
- Reduced power or limp mode, high fuel use
Fitment & tips
Mounted at the cylinder head/rocker cover. Replace O-ring, inspect harness and tone wheel, torque bolts 8–10 Nm, clear codes, and perform idle relearn. Keep connectors dry and clean ✅.
Built to last
OEM-grade plug, heat-resistant body, fast switching, stable signal across RPM. Ideal Mitsubishi replacement for accurate timing and reliable drivability.
