Engine Cam Phase Sensor โ€“ precise timing control โš™๏ธ

This small but vital timing sensor tells the ECU exactly where the cam is, so fuel injection and ignition happen at the right millisecond. It keeps idle smooth, starts quick, power clean, and emissions low. Designed for Nissan engines and built to OE standards for signal accuracy.

How it works

A Hall/magnetic pickup reads the cam trigger wheel. With 5V reference, ground, and a signal wire, it outputs a crisp square wave every revolution. The ECU matches cam to crank, enabling sequential injection and precise variable valve timing. Clean waveform = stable combustion and strong throttle response.

Why you need it โœ…

Without a reliable cam angle signal, the engine must guess cylinder phase. That means wasted fuel, lazy throttle, hesitation, and higher emissions. A healthy sensor restores exact timing and efficient burn.

If it fails

Expect hard or no start, random stalling, rough idle, misfires, poor mpg, and limp mode. Check Engine light with P0340/P0341 is common. Heat, oil ingress, or a cracked connector can kill it; a swollen Oโ€‘ring may also cause leaks.

Fitment & install tips

Direct plug-in 3โ€‘pin unit near the cylinder head. Disconnect battery, remove single bolt, replace Oโ€‘ring, seat fully, torque lightly, then clear fault codes and verify live data.
