This metal fuel pipe is a precision line that carries high-pressure fuel from the injection system to one specific cylinder circuit. It is needed to keep pressure stable, timing correct, and spray quality consistent under load. Unlike ordinary fuel hoses, this line is rigid and shaped to fit the engine bay without rubbing or vibrating loose.

The pipe seals at both ends with machined fittings. When the pump or rail sends fuel pulses, the line holds pressure and delivers the exact amount of fuel at the right moment. Its internal bore and length help reduce pressure waves, supporting smooth running and clean combustion.
What happens if itβs damaged β
A cracked, bent, or leaking line can cause hard starting, misfire, diesel knock, fuel smell, wet fittings, and loss of power. In severe cases it may spray fuel in the engine bay, increasing fire risk and making the engine run dangerously lean or uneven.
