Fuel Filter Cap Assembly for Toyota Diesel Systems 🔧⛽
This cap assembly seals the top of the fuel filter housing and keeps the diesel fuel circuit tight under suction and pressure. It is needed to prevent air leaks, fuel seepage, and loss of prime after parking. A correct seal helps the hand primer and lift pump build steady flow so the injection pump receives clean, bubble-free fuel.
How it works
The cap locks onto the filter body and compresses the gasket/O-ring to create a leak-proof joint. Inside, it guides fuel through the filter element and supports stable circulation. When tightened properly, it stops air from entering the system—one of the most common causes of hard starting on older Toyota 4x4 diesels.
What happens if it’s damaged
