    Clutch Release Cylinder Adapter

    This OEM-grade hydraulic fitting links the clutch line to the slave (release) cylinder on popular Mitsubishi platforms. It centers and seals the fluid path, holds pressure, and sets the hose/pipe at the correct angle. Built for heat, vibration, and road splash, it stops leaks and keeps the pedal firm and predictable. A healthy adapter protects the whole hydraulic clutch system and extends clutch life.

    How it works ⚙️

    The adapter threads into the slave cylinder and provides a precise seat for the hose or pipe. A machined bore and sealing face (with O-ring or crush washer) keep DOT 4 fluid inside under pedal pressure. Press the pedal ➜ master cylinder sends fluid ➜ flow passes through this adapter ➜ slave piston moves ➜ release bearing disengages the clutch. Clean, sealed flow equals smooth shifts.

    What happens if it fails ❗

    • Soft or sinking clutch pedal, hard to select gears
    • Fluid seep at the joint, damp hose end, drips ️
    • Air drawn into system, spongy feel after heat soak
    • Grinding on shifts, clutch dragging at lights
    • Contamination may shorten slave/master life

    Tech notes for install

    Inspect threads and sealing faces, replace the washer/O-ring, align the line without twist, and tighten to service-manual spec. Bleed the hydraulic circuit fully; keep fluid clean. After road test, recheck for any dampness around the joint.
