Engine Piston, Pin & Ring Set for Hyundai/Kia
This internal engine kit is the heart of your cylinderβs power stroke. It is needed to compress the air-fuel mix, transfer combustion force to the connecting rod, and keep engine pressure sealed where it belongs. When fitted correctly, it restores lost compression, reduces blow-by, and brings back smooth pulling power ?.
How it works
The piston travels up and down inside the cylinder. The wrist pin links the piston to the connecting rod, letting it pivot freely at high RPM. The snap rings lock the pin in place so it cannot drift and damage the cylinder wall. Together, they convert combustion pressure into crankshaft rotation with minimal friction.
Why replacement matters
Worn or damaged pistons and pins can cause low compression, oil burning, tapping/knocking noise, hard starting, and poor fuel economy. If a snap ring fails, the pin may walk out, scoring the bore and turning a simple rebuild into a full engine replacement β οΈ.
