Clutch Friction Disc for Smooth Manual Gear Shifts ⚙️
This clutch friction disc is a key wear part in the manual transmission drive system. It sits between the flywheel and the pressure plate, and its job is to transfer engine torque to the gearbox while still allowing clean disconnect during gear changes. Without a healthy disc, the vehicle cannot launch smoothly or shift with control.
Why This Part Is Needed ✅
Every time you release the clutch pedal, the disc grips the flywheel through high-friction linings. Over time, heat, stop‑and‑go driving, towing, and aggressive starts slowly wear the lining surface. Replacing it restores proper bite, prevents power loss, and protects the flywheel and pressure plate from damage.
How It Works ?️
The disc hub is splined to the transmission input shaft. When the pressure plate clamps, the disc locks to the flywheel and spins the gearbox. Built-in damper springs absorb vibration and reduce driveline shock, giving quieter engagement and less chatter.
