    Why your car needs it ✅

    Every gear change depends on this arm. It turns hydraulic push from the slave cylinder into accurate movement of the throwout bearing, separating clutch discs so gears mesh without grind. Worn pads, bent arms, or sloppy pivot wear lead to clutch drag, chatter, and premature disc wear.

    How it works

    The fork pivots on a ball stud inside the bellhousing. Its tips press the release bearing squarely against the diaphragm spring. Heat-treated faces resist grooves, the clip keeps the bearing centered, and the dust boot seals out grit and water for stable pedal feel.

    If the fork fails ⚠️

    Expect hard or low pedal, squeaks/clicks, gears refusing to engage, grinding into reverse, or creeping with the pedal down. Severe failure means no release at all—stranding the car and risking damage to the slave cylinder, bearing, and pressure plate.
