Premium Ignition Coil Assembly for Nissan/Infiniti V8 SUVs ⚑

Why you need this part

This coil energizes your spark plugs with strong, clean voltage so the engine starts fast, idles smooth, and pulls hard. In a coil-on-plug system, each cylinder gets its own spark source. Replacing a weak unit restores power, lowers fuel use, and keeps emissions in check. It is built for heavy SUVs that see heat, vibration, towing, and long trips .

How it works

The ECU feeds 12V to a primary winding, then switches it off. The collapsing magnetic field induces 25–40 kV in the secondary. That high voltage travels through an internal spring and silicone boot to the plug tip, firing the air-fuel mix. Epoxy potting protects the copper windings from heat, while plated terminals keep a solid connection. Proper dwell control gives a strong spark at idle and under load.

What happens if it fails

Typical signs: rough idle, hesitation, poor MPG, hard start, flashing check engine light, and codes P030X/P035X. Driving with a bad coil can overheat the catalytic converter, foul plugs, damage O2 sensors, and even cause stalling or no-start. You may smell fuel in the exhaust and feel shaking under acceleration.

Pro install tips

Direct-fit coil-on-plug. Disconnect battery, remove cover, undo the 10 mm bolt, unplug, and pull straight out. Inspect plug tubes for oil, clean the well, lightly apply dielectric grease, torque to spec, and clear codes. Consider replacing worn spark plugs at the same time.
