Premium Distributor Cap Assembly for Nissan Ignition ⚑

Keep your spark strong and your engine smooth with this OEM-grade distributor cap assembly. It seals the distributor, routes coil voltage to each cylinder, and shields the rotor and contacts from moisture, dust, and heat. High-dielectric housing and corrosion-resistant terminals ensure clean, timed sparks for easy starts and stable idle.

Why this part is needed

A fresh cap prevents voltage leak and crossfire. Replacing a worn unit restores proper firing order, improves throttle response and fuel economy, and avoids misfires that can stress the catalytic converter.

How it works

The ignition coil feeds high voltage to the center post. The rotor sweeps inside; the cap distributes that pulse to each plug wire in sequence. A tight gasket and proper venting keep condensation out and manage under-hood heat for reliable spark delivery.

What happens if it’s faulty ⚠️

Cracks, carbon tracking, or green corrosion cause hard starts, rough idle, loss of power, popping/backfire, and stallingβ€”often worse in rain or humidity. Prolonged driving like this can foul plugs and trigger the check engine light.

Install tips

Disconnect battery, label plug wires, follow firing order, inspect/replace the rotor, seat the gasket, torque screws evenly, and apply a small dab of dielectric grease to wire boots. Recheck timing marks and listen for smooth idle.
