Ignition Distributor Rotor Head (Fits Selected Nissan Models)
This ignition rotor head is a key part of the distributor system on many classic Nissan engines. Itβs needed to route high-voltage spark from the ignition coil to the correct spark plug at the exact moment the engine needs it. Without a healthy rotor, your engine canβt fire cleanly and power drops fast β‘
How It Works
The rotor spins with the distributor shaft. As it turns, its metal tip passes each terminal inside the distributor cap and βhands offβ the voltage pulse to each plug wire in firing order. Good insulation and a clean contact surface prevent voltage leaks and misfires ?
What Happens If Itβs Worn or Broken
A damaged rotor can cause hard starting, rough idle, hesitation, popping, and random misfires. Cracks, burning, or excessive tip wear may let spark jump to ground, leading to weak combustion and higher fuel use. In severe cases the engine may stall or refuse to start at all ?
