Crankshaft Position Sensor βš™οΈ

This sensor is a key engine timing part. It reads the exact position and speed of the crankshaft and sends this signal to the ECU. The engine computer uses this data to control fuel injection, ignition timing, starting, idle quality, and smooth running.

Why This Part Is Needed ?

Without a clean crankshaft signal, the ECU cannot know when each piston is moving. A good sensor helps the engine start quickly, run evenly, reduce misfires, and keep fuel use under control. It is especially important for reliable daily driving and stable engine performance.

How It Works ?

The sensor monitors a toothed wheel or trigger pattern on the crankshaft. As the crankshaft rotates, the sensor creates an electrical signal. This signal tells the ECU the crankshaft speed and position in real time, allowing accurate spark and fuel timing.

If the Sensor Fails ⚠️

A faulty crankshaft position sensor can cause hard starting, sudden stalling, rough idle, weak acceleration, engine misfire, or a no-start condition. The check engine light may appear, and fault codes related to crank signal loss can be stored.
