Cooling System Pressure Cap Assembly
This small cap is a big safety valve for your Nissan cooling system. It seals the radiator/expansion circuit and holds the correct pressure so coolant can work at a higher boiling point. That means steady engine temperature, better heater performance, and less risk of overheating in traffic .
Why this part is needed
Modern engines run hot by design. The cooling system must stay pressurized to prevent coolant from boiling and forming air pockets. This cap also allows controlled release into the overflow path when pressure rises too high.
How it works
Inside are a spring-loaded pressure valve and a vacuum return valve. Under normal heat, the spring keeps the system sealed. If pressure exceeds the rated limit, it vents safely. When the engine cools, the vacuum valve lets coolant return, preventing hose collapse ✅.
