How It Works

What If It Fails
Stuck closed: rapid overheating, boiling coolant, warped head, and possible engine damage. Stuck open: slow warm‑up, rich mixture, poor heater, high fuel use, and code P0128. Leaking gasket: coolant loss, air pockets, surging temp gauge.
Install Tips ️
Fit spring toward engine, align jiggle pin up if equipped, torque evenly, refill with fresh 50/50 coolant, and bleed air. Replace cap if weak.
