Engine Coolant Thermostat Assembly for Subaru

Keep your Subaru engine in the safe zone with this OEM-grade thermostat assembly. It controls coolant flow for quick warm-up, stable temperature, better fuel economy, clean emissions, and long engine life .

Why this part is needed ️

Without a healthy thermostat, the engine may overheat in traffic or run too cold on the highway. Correct temperature means strong performance, reliable heater, and protected head gaskets.

How it works βš™οΈ

Inside is a wax pellet that expands at a set temp (typically around 88–92Β°C). As it expands, it pushes a valve open to send hot coolant to the radiator. When cold, the valve stays shut, keeping coolant in the block for faster warm-up ❄️.

If the part fails ⚠️

Stuck closed: overheating, boiling coolant, pinging, warped heads. Stuck open: cold running, high fuel use, weak cabin heat, code P0128, rough idle. Leaking gasket: slow warm-up and coolant loss .

Tech tips for installation ️

Always install a new gasket/O-ring, bleed air from the system, use Subaru-approved coolant, and torque the housing evenly. Check fans and radiator cap after refill.
