Engine Coolant Thermostat Assembly for Nissan Vehicles

Keep your engine at the right temperature with this precise coolant thermostat. It helps the motor warm up fast and then holds a stable operating range for power, economy, and low emissions. Perfect fit and flow keep your cooling system healthy mile after mile.

Why you need it ️

The thermostat controls coolant flow between engine and radiator. Correct heat balance means smoother driving, better fuel use, clean oil, and longer engine life. It also gives steady cabin heat in cold weather.

How it works βš™οΈ

Inside is a wax pellet. When coolant heats up, the wax expands and pushes a pin to open the valve to the radiator. When cold, the valve stays shut, sending coolant through the bypass for quick warm‑up. A bleed pin lets air escape; a rubber seal prevents leaks.

If it breaks

  • Stuck closed: rapid overheating, boiling coolant, warped head, blown gasket.
  • Stuck open: long warm‑up, poor heater, rich mix, high fuel use, carbon build‑up.
  • Symptoms: temp gauge swings, weak heat, fan overactive, possible P0128.

Service tips

  • Install with new gasket/O‑ring; correct orientation matters.
  • Bleed air, refill with quality coolant, check hoses and cap.
  • Tighten housing bolts evenly to avoid leaks.
