OEM Engine Coolant Pump Assembly for Subaru Performance and Daily Use

This unit keeps your boxer engine at the right temperature by pushing coolant through the block and radiator. Replacing a tired pump restores stable temps, quiet operation, and factory-fit reliability. Perfect for preventive maintenance or solving overheating, leaks, or bearing noise.

Why you need it ❄️

Consistent coolant flow stops hotspots, detonation, and warped heads. A fresh pump protects gaskets, turbo hardware, and oil life, especially in traffic or spirited driving.

How it works

Flow and drive

A belt-driven pulley turns a hardened shaft and impeller. The mechanical seal and gasket prevent leaks while the housing channels coolant. During warm-up, bypass flow stabilizes temperature; at speed, full flow moves heat to the radiator.

If it fails ⚠️

Symptoms: coolant drip from weep hole, whining or wobble, temp spikes, sweet smell, weak cabin heat at idle. Ignoring it risks overheating, head-gasket damage, seized bearings, and timing-belt wear (where shared).

Install tips ♻️

Replace gasket/O-ring, flush system, use fresh OEM-spec coolant, torque bolts evenly, bleed air with heater on, and inspect belts/thermostat.
