This mounting bracket assembly is a key support piece that holds the radiator cooling fan in the correct position. It is needed to keep the fan aligned with the radiator core, so airflow is pulled evenly through the fins and the engine temperature stays stable in traffic, hot weather, or when the A/C is running.
How it works ⚙️
The bracket bolts to the radiator support/shroud area and locks the fan unit firmly in place. By controlling fan angle and clearance, it prevents the blades from touching the shroud or radiator, reduces vibration, and protects wiring and connectors from movement damage.

A cracked or bent bracket can let the fan shift, causing rattling noises, fan blade contact, damaged radiator fins, or unplugged/strained wiring. In severe cases, airflow drops and the engine may overheat, leading to coolant boiling, A/C performance loss, and possible head gasket or engine damage.
