Right-Side Rear Suspension Stabilizer Link
This small but critical suspension joint connects the anti-roll (sway) bar to the rear control arm on the RH side. Its job is simple: keep the body stable in corners, reduce side-to-side lean, and help the tires stay planted. π
Why this part is needed
When you turn, brake, or hit uneven road surfaces, the sway bar twists to balance load between wheels. The stabilizer link transfers that twist into the suspension. Without a healthy link, the sway bar canβt do its work properly, and the vehicle feels loose and less predictable.
How it works
Inside the link are ball joints (or joint bushings depending on build) that allow controlled movement while staying tight under load. It pivots with suspension travel, prevents binding, and keeps the bar aligned so the rear end tracks cleanly.
What happens if itβs worn or broken
A failing link often causes clunking over bumps, extra body roll, wandering at highway speeds, and uneven handling during quick lane changes. If it breaks completely, the sway bar may rattle, handling becomes sloppy, and other suspension parts can take extra stress. β οΈ
