Inlet Manifold Pressure Sensor ?โœจ

This sensor is a key input for the engine control unit to keep the air/fuel mix stable and the hybrid gasoline engine running smooth. It measures the pressure (vacuum/boost) inside the intake manifold and turns that reading into an electrical signal the ECU understands. Using this data, the ECU adjusts fuel injection, ignition timing, and throttle response for clean power and better fuel economy.

Why this part is needed โœ…

Modern Mitsubishi engines rely on accurate manifold pressure data to calculate engine load. Without a correct signal, the ECU canโ€™t โ€œseeโ€ what the engine is breathing, especially during cold starts, quick acceleration, and hill driving.

How it works ?

Inside the unit is a pressure-sensitive element that changes output voltage as manifold pressure changes. The ECU compares this value with temperature and RPM to fine-tune combustion in real time.

What happens if itโ€™s broken โš ๏ธ

A failing sensor may cause rough idle, hesitation, poor fuel mileage, hard starting, lack of power, or a check engine light. In some cases the vehicle can enter a reduced-performance mode to protect the engine.
