The ignition coil is a crucial part of your vehicle's ignition system. How the Ignition Coil Works

Located within the engine bay, the ignition coil is essentially a transformer. It comprises two sets of copper wire windings: the primary and secondary windings. When current flows through the primary winding, it generates a magnetic field. Upon interruption, this field collapses, inducing a high voltage in the secondary winding. This voltage is then delivered to the spark plugs, igniting the fuel.
