In‑Tank Fuel Pump Module ⛽

This OEM-grade in‑tank unit (ref 1760A294) feeds your engine with steady, clean fuel pressure. Built for Mitsubishi SUVs, it keeps injection timing sharp, throttle response crisp, and cold starts quick. A healthy pump protects injectors and the catalytic converter by preventing lean burn under load.

Why this part is needed

Modern EFI engines need constant pressure to atomize fuel correctly. This module draws fuel through a fine strainer, stabilizes pressure, and sends it to the rail. It reduces vapor lock, cuts noise, and ensures reliable delivery during cornering and off‑road angles.

How it works

A 12V electric turbine/gerotor impeller spins inside the housing, pulling fuel from the tank, filtering it, and pushing it forward at about 3–4 bar. An internal check valve holds residual pressure for quick restarts, while the integrated strainer blocks debris to protect the system.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Symptoms include long cranking, weak acceleration, stalling on hills, loud whining from the tank, poor MPG, and low fuel pressure codes. If the pump quits, the engine will crank but not start. Running low on fuel overheats the pump and can shorten its life. Always install with a new seal, clean tank, and fresh strainer.
