EVAP Fuel Vapor One‑Way Valve
This small valve guards the fuel tank vent system and keeps vapor flow under control. It seals the EVAP line when flow tries to return to the tank, but lets vapor move toward the charcoal canister and engine during purge. By doing this, it keeps pressure balanced, stops fuel smell, and helps the vehicle pass emissions tests .
Why it’s needed
It prevents raw fuel and vapor from traveling the wrong way, protects the canister from liquid fuel, reduces tank pressure spikes, and avoids vacuum collapse. A healthy valve means clean running, stable idle, and safer operation.
How it works
Inside is a light spring and check element. With purge vacuum, it opens and lets vapor flow forward. When the engine stops or during a rollover, it closes to block reverse flow. Body and seals are fuel‑resistant for long life ⛽.
