    PCV Crankcase Ventilation Valve Assembly ️

    This small but critical engine valve controls how blow-by gases leave the crankcase and return to the intake to be burned again. It is needed to keep internal engine pressure stable, reduce oil contamination, and help the engine run cleaner with better idle quality.

    How It Works ⚙️

    Inside the valve is a spring-loaded plunger. At idle and light throttle, it meters flow to prevent a vacuum leak. Under higher load, it opens more to vent extra crankcase pressure. This keeps oil vapors moving in the right direction and helps protect seals, gaskets, and the intake system.

    If the Valve Fails

    A stuck-closed valve can cause pressure buildup, oil leaks, sludge, and pushed-out seals. A stuck-open valve may act like a vacuum leak, leading to rough idle, lean running, higher fuel use, and misfire-like symptoms. You may also notice oily deposits in the intake or increased smoke.
